21 May Let the Trash Talking Begin
As she starts to smell fresh water, we covered 250 miles in 16 hours!
On the last 4 hour shift Jim, Blaise, and Ron covered 75 miles and wrote 19 on the trash bag for the next shift to see – they averaged 19 knots nicely surfing under the J1 and Main with 1 reef. As the absentee owner, Rick says this is great to hear…..and that fact that they broke nothing is even better.
We have been working the Great Lakes logistic and confirming that the “crazy machine” will actually fit in the great lakes harbors, it is close to say the least. We want to give a big thank you to Port Huron (Home Port) support: Mike at the River Street Marina, Chad with rib support, and Gary at the Water street bridge for checking that she will clear. Also, thanks to the Harbor Springs docking team of Mat and Mike for working the docking possibilities.
More to come as Areté and the team round north.
As for current location, hey are looking forward to turning north around the tip of Nova Scotia.*********
