About Areté
Built in France of carbon fiber with a Nomex core in 2002, Areté was originally named for her sponsor, SOPRA, and was later named Emotion. The boat was purchased by Rick Warner in the spring of 2015, and sailed from France to her summer home in the Great Lakes.
Areté currently resides at its winter home at Crowley’s Yacht Yard in Chicago, IL after setting the WSSRC world record.
